How does it work?

The OutPost Sentinel approach provides a system with multiple levels of the latest and most secure network technologies. Continually updated multi-level security with encryption, IP packet filtering; password authentication, and access control lists.

The OutPost Solution consists of two major components, the SAM Server and the ENS intelligent appliance or Cirrus Sentry -10 (CS-10). The first element is the Sentinel Alarm Manager (SAM). The SAM is the host server for your monitoring, access, and trouble-ticketing. The SAM connects to a small appliance you install in each customer network. This device can either be a Cirrus Sentry or an Emergency Network Sentinel (ENS). Each CS or ENS is connected to the systems that are to be monitored at the customer's sites. This connection can be IP, serial and SNMP. It provides secure anytime access when you need it and collects alarms and audit information even during network outages when other solutions fail.
